Frequently asked questions

Don't worry, we got you. Here are some answers for your questions.

TalentLift is a non-profit with a mission. We focus on placing qualified candidates who are currently living in refugee situations into roles with Canadian teams that are stable, long-term and commensurate with their skills - as a solution to skills shortages in Canada and to displacement worldwide. As a mission-driven team, we're focused on meaningful employment relationships that last, and we see less turnover and higher retention as a result. Another key difference is that recruitment agencies typically ask for a percentage of salary or charge hourly rates across recruitment and immigration. We charge a flat fee that is deliberately on the lower-market end, meaning lower overall costs for our hiring partners.

Hiring candidates living as refugees is a fantastic way to find needed talent, to add unique skills and perspectives to your team, to enhance retention, and to achieve a major social impact for a new colleague and their family - who are able to leave a refugee situation and relocate to a safe new home in Canada because of the opportunity to join your team.

We offer end-to-end support, including candidate sourcing, initial screening, coordinating interviews, and assisting with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring experience.

Canada has a fantastic and forward-thinking skilled visa program designed to enable employers to hire and relocate talented people living in refugee situations. It's called the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP). In many ways, it's a simpler visa than traditional alternatives. Our team has expertise and experience to support your team to seamlessly leverage this visa program for your recruitment.

Absolutely. We offer resources and training for cultural integration, supporting both the candidates and your team in fostering a cohesive and inclusive workplace.

Yes, you can. TalentLift works with both businesses of all sizes and individuals seeking to hire roles such as Caregivers and Personal Support Workers.
